I grew up on the music of the late 60's and 70's my dad an air force career man my mother a cabaret singer in the military clubs in the Philippines and okinawa japan then in the local clubs once the family returned to the USA my first instrument was a tenor sax for one season in a school class which really wasn't my thing so we sold the sax and got my brother michael a set of Ludwig drums which wasn't his thing so he sold those for the guitar and I too gravitated towards guitar which was the popular choice of the day with acoustic fingerpicking
