From her hometown of Geneva, New York, Pink has been one of the few artists representing the underground rap and ambient scene across the Finger Lakes region. Raised in Romulus, New York, a town of just 320 people, she built her sound from the ground up. She began her journey on SoundCloud in late 2021 under a different name, and after years of growth and experimentation, emerged as "pinkmonth" in late 2024. That shift brought her closer to some of her most important collaborators, Lecie, Narahcore, and Jorisen, and in 2025 she founded the collective Empty Summer. Before dedicating herself fully to music, she served as a developer on a VR game that gained significant traction around mid 2024, stepping away to preserve the creative energy that drives her work. Her influences span Jane Remover, damian1k, Ivvys, Rachyl, and many others who have shaped how she approaches sound. Rachyl in particular influenced her mixing and editing style, while Jane Remover pushed her toward fearless experimentation. She began producing her own beats in December 2023, with her best friend Lecie teaching her the fundamentals, and the growth from that point has been undeniable.
