The collective Weeland, led by guitarist and musical visionary Patrick Wieland, is excited to announce the release of their new album, The Soul Provisions. Available on Vinyl only so far, this album is the result of an inspiring collaboration between talented artists: vocalist Esther Cowens brings her expressive voice, while drummer Tommy Baldu, keyboardist Martin Meixner, and Berlin-based bassist Martin Stumpf add the rhythmic and harmonic layers that bring the work to life. The album is going to be released as an EP Version in 2025 on all streaming devices. The Soul Provisions captures the essence of retro soul and rhythm & blues, enriched with modern indie soul influences reminiscent of artists like Michael Kiwanuka, Khruangbin, and Alabama Shakes. The album spans a wide musical range—from intimate, soulful ballads to energetic, dynamic tracks that convey a rich spectrum of emotions and tones. Night Creams are Jamie Stone and Rachel Wood based in Tāmaki Makarau Auckland in Aotearoa New Zealand. Meeting, Stone and Wood bonded over their art school background, soon finding an affinity in playing music together, making synths sound like guitars, guitars like synths. Rachel Wood draws on her background in drone music, noise, and electronic explorations. Her keyboard work, analog synths, theremin and lead vocals finds another direction with Night Creams. Switching from the Indie-Rock mode of TRUCKER, and Imploder, Jamie Stone moves his focus to the drum kit and vocals, adding guitars, bass and other colour. Night Creams takes both deeper into the rock’n’roll psyche than they have ever ventured. Their debut album ‘Auditions for a Melt Movie’ is a result of this collaboration. Produced, mixed and recorded by the band.
