Der gebürtige Südbadener gründete mir fünfzehn seine erste Band als Gitarrist und Sänger. Wenig später wurde er in eine Soulband gebeten. Nach dem erfolgreichen Abschluss einer technischen Ausbildung, die auch die Grundlage für Markus Baltenspergers profundes tontechnisches Wissen bildet, studierte er Musik am renommierten "Musicans Institute" in Los Angeles. Dort erweiterte er zielstrebig und voller Passion seine Fähigkeiten als Gitarrist, Sänger und Songwriter. Seine größte musikalische Inspiration erhielt Markus Baltensperger vom Gitarristen des weltbekannten Sängers Als Jarreau, dessen Schüler er 18 Monate lang war. Bepackt mit dem "Know how" zeitgenössischer Musik (Jazz, Rock, Pop, Soul, R&B und Country) kehrte Markus Baltensperger in seine Heimat zurück. Geprägt von der großstädtischen Musikvielfalt Los Angeles zog es ihn schon bald in die Musikmetropole Hamburg.
