Bright Magus is an instrumental quintet that was born under the influence of the metaphysical electric period of Miles Davis which goes from the end of the 60s to the mid 70s. Everything takes shape in November 2022, when Giovanni Calella and Leziero Rescigno who have been maturing the idea of exploring that period of Miles Davis for some time, contact Alberto Turra, Mauro Tre and Gianni Sansone with the idea of developing a new project. Starting from radical improvisation sessions, in the style of albums such as: Bitches Brew, In A Silent Way, On the Corner, Big Fun etc ..., an empathy between the five is immediately born given by the deep knowledge and passion for that period so mysterious and eclectic of Miles.
