Raised in the Bay Area, he began playing guitar as a pre-teen and was determined to pursue a career in music by the time he reached high school. He adopted the name “ego n friends” to highlight his vast array of collaborators, most of whom he considers close friends. By working with a diverse community of artists in Colorado and beyond, he experimented with a range of genres before ultimately finding his niche in nostalgia-provoking indie pop and alternative hip-hop. His genre-bending sound is influenced by artists like Dominic Fike, Col3trane, and Dijon. In 2013, he made his debut as a track maker on IRMA Records, participating in the compilation album "NEW DAYS" series produced by DTM Magazine, and participated in all three albums of the series. In 2016, his track "Flash Gun" was included in Rayark's music game "Voez," making his debut as a music game composer. In 2017, he established his direction of activities centered on Tech Dance genre after participating in a CD by "exbit trax," one of Japan's leading hard dance labels at the time. Since then, he has participated in five consecutive compilation albums from the label. In 2020, he founded his own Tech Dance label "4onthetrax" (now "4onthetrax Reprise") , and began releasing original tracks and remix tracks by fellow track makers. He has released at a constant pace, and his releases have been supported by "Remote Control" (block.fm) and "Aobashi Hour" (FM Odawara). At the same time, he also participates in releases from external labels such as "HYVE" and "Shinkai waveS Records", and continues to release Tech Dance music in various places. In 2022, "Flash Gun" was also included in Rayark's rhythm game "Cytus II", making it his second rhythm game and gaining popular status. As of 2025, he is still active mainly with "4onthetrax Reprise", and continues to participate in "HYVE" and "Shinkai waveS Records", while continuing to release Tech Dance tracks.
