Formed in 2022 in Leiria, Portugal, Wheels is a quintet known for blending a wide array of musical influences with improvisation at the core of their sound. The band was initially founded by its main songwriter JoĂŁo Larcher Reis (vocals/guitar/keyboards) and Benjamim (bass), who were later joined by Nuno Silva (drums), Pedro Gonçalves (keyboards), and TomĂĄs Silva (backing vocals/percussion/trumpet). In 2024, Wheels released their debut album, âTales from Abelâs Creek,â which showcases their eclectic style. They have also released singles such as âOther Side of the Street,â âSheâs Crying,â and âStep Awayâ. Their second album, âA Modern Prayer,â was released in March 2025, reflecting the bandâs continuous evolution and dedication to exploring diverse musical landscapes.
