“Jesus is King.” Daniel Obiefuna Nwandu Jr., known artistically as “Designed By Fondu”, is a Nigerian-American Artist, Designer, and Entrepreneur. From as early as he could remember, Daniel described himself being “obsessively creative” – always finding curious ways to express his ideas. What started from simple crayons on paper when he was still in diapers quickly evolved into becoming a self taught animator at the age of 8, producing home movies complete with advanced visual effects at the age of 9, developing dynamic websites from scratch using code at the age of 12, to founding his own sports league (Reflex Football Battlegrounds) at the age of 19. Growing up in a divided family and being the oldest son in the household meant having to grow up quicker than his peers. The division also meant he had to constantly adapt between two drastically different countries and cultures which impacted not only his worldview but his perspective on people and life. This family hardship would eventually cause a gradual falling away from his family’s Christian background, and lead him into a life (and love) of sin until, miraculously, God would begin to call him back. Daniel would eventually surrender his life to Christ at the age of 27 (2021), taking everything he learned and every thing the world and the enemy tried to use to destroy him and turning it into rhythmic testimonies.
Magnitudo is a three-piece project born in late 2015 and based in Bergamo, Italy. Drawing inspiration from the cornerstones of the post/sludge scene and fusing them with a more traditional metal framework, Magnitudo crafts a sonic assault driven by super-massive riffs and a devastating rhythmic backbone. The result is a sound that’s crushingly heavy, yet eerily claustrophobic and disorienting, enriched by apocalyptic and alienating lyrical themes. On stage, Magnitudo weaponizes outrageous volume and a suffocating wall of sound, turning each show into a visceral shockwave.
