“Lavh•oh” Previously of the Midlands-based alternative rock band Arrows, Lavo swapped guitars for samplers and now produces bedroom beats, hip hop and lo-fi music. The Silly Stupid City Living EP is a homage to DIY music-making, largely inspired by the New York hip hop and jazz scene. The Flotation Devices album and its lead single Moco takes a deeper dive into experimental music making with chopped up samples, layered loops, synth pads and swirling ambience. The 2025 new lo-fi EP, The Smiling Sun and the Weeping Moon. Inspired by the seasons, it’s a musical accompaniment to the cycle of a late evening into the next morning and the journey of two celestial bodies.
