CHXMERAS are an electronic duo based in Vancouver, BC and a transatlantic collaboration between UK/Canadian musician Paul Finlay from the North East of England and nêhiyaw/Denesuline musician Jarrett Martineau from Treaty 6 territory in Canada. They weave immersive, cinematic sounds and fractured dub, experimental techno, mutating noise, deep ambient, and hip-hop rhythms, into an otherworldly experience. CHXMERAS’ haunting debut album, Terminal City, is a sonic passage through the echoes and ruins of late-stage capitalism, environmental degradation, and urban decay. Using modular synths, drum machines, live efx, field recordings, film samples and live improvisation, CHXMERAS take listeners into a hallucinatory landscape where fractal paths, lost futures, and the disorienting present collide. Their 2025 follow up EP, Second Sight, builds upon two years of live experimentation and performance, field recordings, improvisation, and recombinant composition techniques. A record and a reckoning with the wild, furious, anything goes, free-for-all, freefall present Second Sight holds onto a glimmer and a premonition of another world that's worth fighting to try and reach.
Rapper Dom Venice was born in Saint Louis, Missouri in 1998. Growing up in a soulful environment, he was immersed into the culture and sounds of his ethnicity since a young age. He began rapping at age 12, and at age 15 he released his first project. In 2018, he began spending time in Los Angeles to network musically. Inspired by artists like Mac Dre and Max B, Dom’s music has seemed to mesh G Funk and soul. He’s displayed a passion for explaining a entrepreneurial lifestyle in his music. By 2020, Dom’s notoriety increased by default of his hustle, and he began to tour with likeminded artists like Larry June and Premo Rice. As years have passed, Dom has tended to put out multiple projects yearly and grow a fanbase with his own investments, remaining independent.
