Mestre is a band from East of France formed at the end of 2015 that oscillates between energetic punk and steamy coldwave. Influences range from oldschool (Joy Division, The Cure, The Damned) to much more recent (Shame, Holograms, Soviet Soviet, DIIV, A Place To Bury Strangers). Their first album Beyond The Lines was released during covid in 2020 and distributed by Icy Cold Records and Urgence Disk Records. A regular live performer, Mestre has played all over France and neighbouring countries, sharing the stage with bands such as Protomartyr, Frustration, The Psychotic Monks and Kælan Mikla.
