NOIRV is a small personal project. I create music mainly for myself, with the help of artificial intelligence. The focus isn’t perfection or ambition. It’s the simple joy of making something — experimenting, shaping moods, and letting ideas grow without pressure. AI is part of the process as a creative partner, helping to explore sounds, emotions, and unexpected directions. This project exists first for me. But if someone else finds comfort, curiosity in these tracks, they’re welcome to stay and listen. Music for late hours. For headphones.
Those Nervous Animals came together in Sligo in 1981. Forty years later they are about to release their first complete studio album. The Mission Sessions (named for a Georgian House in Union Place where the band were based) contains music from every decade since their first (single) release, Just What The Sucker Wanted in 1984. They did go on to release a series of much celebrated singles (and a mini album, Hyperspace). Massively energetic live, on record TNA created some of the most memorable melodies in Irish rock, including The Business Enterprise (My Friend John). Those Nervous Animals were originally produced by Bill Whelan (of Riverdance fame), and since that time by a series of notable producers – including Donal Lunny, Trevor Knight and Gerry Leonard. This collection is a 50/50 mixture of newly recorded material from lockdown#1 in the summer of 2020 and loving remasters of songs from across four decades.
qqpp: electronic music / dub techno
