My name is Fredrik Torstensson, and I write music to express feelings, thoughts, and experiences that are not always easy to put into words. Music has become my way of telling my story—about challenges, dreams, hope, and the strength to keep moving forward even when life feels difficult. My songs are about real emotions and real people. I am inspired by life on the road, the freedom of heading toward something new, and the experiences that shape us along the journey. Through my music, I hope to give listeners something they can relate to, no matter where they are in life. For me, music is about more than melodies—it is about creating something genuine, something that can touch people and remind them that they are never alone in what they are going through.
Split Peaks, also known as Martin Pedersen - is an electronic music producer, film composer and multi-instrumentalist. After over a decade primarily working on scores for film and tv-shows, he's back with a blend of cinematic electronica, melodic techno, uk garage and songwriting. Besides the remix of "Naked Mind" by the Danish singer/songwriter Goss, which has already been released, singles "Cocoon" feat. Trine Lyngvig and "Everytime" feat. Lasse Matthiessen will soon follow. The full album "Cocoon" is expected to be released later in 2024. Growing up in the scenic landscapes of South Zealand, Denmark, his musical journey began at the age of 12 when he first picked up the saxophone. And it wasn't long before he delved into the world of electronic music production in his teens. While studying at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) in Copenhagen, he released the cinematic electronica album "Reflections" under the artist name Green Panda. After graduating, he now also works as a film composer - Including the score for the acclaimed feature film "What Will People Say," Norway's Oscar nominee for Best Foreign Language Film. Co-composed with film composer Lorenz Dangel. During the global pandemic, Martin was compelled yet again to make music from a personal point of view, blending cinematic electronica and club music with acoustic instruments like distorted piano, saxophone, and strings. This fusion has shaped the distinctive sound of Split Peaks.
