HouseCat is an indie-pop trio from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario Canada. Composed of Caleb Huizenga, Emily Gilbart, and Shannon Lee, they released their debut single ‘Skeleton Man’ in 2022, followed by their EP ‘The Porch Orange’ in July 2024. Notably, HouseCat opened for Laura Jane Grace in May 2024 on her tour with the Mississippi Medicals, and are known for stunts such as playing on a couch, and shaving heads on stage. Critics are calling HouseCat the best band of all time, since ever before, ever (No source). Their music can be described as catchy, devastatingly sad, and a little bit morbid.
