Stone Dairy is the moniker of artist, educator and wannabe musician, Greg Stone. Honoring his ancestral roots in northern New York, the name is an homage to the old dairy farm on which his grandfather grew up. Born, raised, and currently living in the Atlanta area, Greg spends most of his time teaching art, making prints and posters, and on hikes with his dog. Most of his musical output has been with the international printmaking band À la Poupée & the Chine-Collés found exclusively on bandcamp. Not every song is about printmaking of course - and thus Stone Dairy is the result of Greg's more personal songwriting output. A Southern boy with Northern roots and sentiment, his songs draw upon a wide range of influences from Weezer to John Prine, with intimate, personal and yet familiar lyrics that explore love, loss, relationships, mental health, and happiness in a hopeless world. All art is political. Some just more than others.
Juan Marcos Nieves, better known as ROCKY, was born in the vibrant culture of Puerto Rico. He spent his formative years in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he navigated the complexities of childhood. Growing up in Jersey City was a mix of fun and adversity, shaping his resilience and character. At the age of 12, he moved to Miami, Florida. It was in Miami that he first dipped his toes into the world of dance, learning how to pop and breakdance, which ignited his passion for dancing and rapping. At the age of 16, he moved back to Puerto Rico, where he became a breakdancing legend and a graffiti artist. After retiring from 25 years as an executive, he started recording music, which has since become a passionate hobby. Rocky is one of the few artists who has recorded all his lyrics in both English and Spanish.
