Video Burnout is the musical collaboration of long time friends Adam Stegemann and Teddy Stuart (founder of sample label Samples From Mars). Inspired by the disco loft parties of their youth and a love for archaic gear, the two have crafted their own sonic world of cinematic instrumentals, displaced by disco basslines, negative space and chaotic IDM beats. In 2020, after a decade-long hiatus from music, Stegemann, a classically trained pianist turned DJ, acquired a bunch of old samplers and drum machines. After a lot of work the tracks developed into their first release, the Shame Spirals EP.
