Helmut wuchs als 4. Sohn auf dem elterlichen Hof in Oberhessen auf. Seine Liebe zur Musik war schon als Kind vorhanden, aber zunächst überwog der Fußball. Mit großer Leidenschaft spielte er sogar in der Landesliga Hessen. Schließlich gewann aber die Musik und das hat er bis heute nie bereut. Er spielte eh schon Trompete, wurde aber immer öfter am Gesangsmikrofon gesehen. Umtriebig wie er ist erlernte er mit großer Begeisterung die Steirische Harmonika, nahm zudem Gesangsunterricht. Weit über ein Jahrzehnt Frontmann einer erfolgreichen Partyband und ist immer noch aktives Mitglied einer Volks,- und Blaskapelle. Singen und der direkte Kontakt zum Publikum ist sein ein und alles. Jedes Jahr geht es von neuem, weit über 50 Mal auf die Bühne und es wird begeistert abgefeiert. Allzu logisch ist seine Solo CD also, wo er sich und seiner stetig wachsenden Fangemeinde eine Freude bereitet.
