Described by BBC Radio 3's Mixing It as “atmospheric soundscapes with strong melodies… very superior soundtrack music”. Minimal, dark, tunnelling, random and compelling techno from experimental sound designer Chris Barter. The Corridor’s early material was championed by Andrew Weatherall and came out on his ‘Sabres of Paradise’ and ‘Emissions Audio Output’ labels to much critical acclaim. Serious Earth is the haunting, beautifully unsettling offspring born of a collaboration between Chris Barter and Andy Phillips (CODE). The album came together during an intense, prolifically creative period in the mid-nineties when Chris's obsessive experimentation with sound sculpture melded with Andy's gift for melody.
