Inherent Doom is a Phoenix-based black metal act born in Istanbul in 2021, founded by Iranian (Parthian) musician Herethick. Drawing on ancient philosophy, history, and an unflinching rejection of religion, the band forges a sound that is both epic in scope and visceral in execution. From the single Spiral Faults (2023) to the EP Imprisoned by the Hands of Time (2024), Inherent Doom has built a reputation for merging atmosphere and intensity, carrying their vision from Istanbul’s scene to Phoenix stages. Their forthcoming debut album, @Sermon of Ruin, mastered by @Øystein G. Brun ( @Borknagar ) at Crosound Studio, promises their most ambitious statement yet, a confrontation with darkness as truth, and music as defiance.
