Artists: Underlined Passages

Underlined Passages (UP) has built a reputation for emotionally charged, guitar-driven indie rock/pop that blends nostalgia while pushing creative boundaries. Their latest album, Landfill Indie, is lush, soulful, and drenched in shoegaze influence, capturing their introspective yet powerful songwriting. Founded by songwriter Michael W. Nestor, UP was a duo with drummer Jamaal Turner from 2015-2023, crafting a catalog of dynamic, emotionally resonant songs that deeply connected with fans of authentic indie rock. In 2024, Roger Stewart (drums) and Joe Markus (bass) joined current studio and live band. With deep roots in indie rock, Nestor has led several influential projects, including The Seldon Plan (2002–2011), Pupa's Window (1994–2008), and the shoegaze-influenced lowell (1998–2001, see: Maladroit), all contributing to the Northeast DIY scene. From 2003–2011, he ran Beechfields Record Label, supporting emerging artists. UP formed in 2014 with ex-Seldon Plan drummer Frank Corl and signed to Mint 400 Records, thanks to label head Neil Sabatino. UP has earned praise for its “gorgeous celebration of brilliant musicianship” (Jersey Beat) and recognition as “one of the best bands around” (The Big Takeover). Years of touring and recording have built a loyal following, not through hype, but by staying true to their vision and connecting with listeners who value authenticity when everything else feels disposable.

Artists: Alessio Trapella

Alessio Trapella is a musician and producer from Italy, described by critics as “eclectic and uncompromising.” His training is rooted in academic studies of Double Bass and Composition at the Conservatory of Adria, which he began at a very young age, and soon intertwined with his passion for rock music, creating a personal language capable of blending rigor and experimentation. Among his most significant experiences in the classical field stands out his collaboration with the “Luigi Cherubini” Youth Orchestra conducted by Maestro Riccardo Muti (2010–2012).
In the world of Italian progressive rock, he has performed and recorded with Aldo Tagliapietra, UT New Trolls (2013–2016), and from 2017 to 2021 was a member of Le Orme. In 2023 he released his first solo album, “La ricerca dell’imperfezione” (The Search for Imperfection), a project that marks the beginning of a new artistic phase, free and uncompromising.
Trapella continues to explore imperfection as a form of sonic truth, seeking new paths with consistency, curiosity, and vision, and is now ready to let his new album ICARO take flight, scheduled for release on October 10, 2025.
