"The line between which is influencing the other is, at its basis, indecipherable," says Winston-Salem Singer/Songwriter Matt Weiser of his life and music. "If I've had a good experience it might make for a happy song; a sad event can lend itself to a number of points of view, but at the end of the day it's about creating and being a part of something that's real." Heartfelt lyrics and earnest emotive vocals place Weiser on a platform with artists such as Brian Fallon, Glen Hansard and Emerson Hart. Comparisons to contemporaries in respect to his song craft may abound, but it is truly performing and interacting with audiences where his music takes action and springs into life. At the core of his performances is a desire to make an honest connection; which is accomplished through an unabashed, high energy realization of his music. Through years of playing to audiences all across North Carolina and various other southeastern states Weiser has honed his performing and writing abilities and continues to do so. With his determination and genuine love for playing music for people Weiser's name and music are certain to be heard for years to come. His new solo effort anemoia features Weiser filling the roles of songwriter, singer, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist/pianist, and percussionist. The EP was recorded at (sh)Abbey Road Studios in Winston-Salem, and was produced by Weiser.
