On a stormy night in December '23, Ropp and Dirk met by chance in a rehearsal room in an industrial complex. They quickly realized that they had many common interests when it came to the creation and sound of music. So the bet was made: could they manage to produce an EP with three songs in three months? If so, great, if not, no problem. Ten weeks later, they had six songs, a band name and a clear vision of what the music of CASTLE MOUNTAIN MOON should sound like. They teamed up with drummer Gerry and a few other musicians to complete their debut "Six Tales Of Perception". Singer/Guitarist/Bassist Dirk Krause brings a captivating presence to the forefront, delivering lyrics that explore deep existential themes and cosmic concepts. Dirk was not only the frontman of the former Jethro Tull tribute band Thick As A Brick, but is best known as a member of the hard rock band Radio Anyhwere. Composer/Keyboarder Robert Köhler showcases virtuosic skills, delivering solos that weave seamlessly into the tapestry of the band's sound. Rob's musical background is not only in prog rock, but also in Art-Rock and Prog-Metal, especially with his current band 'Synthagma' and former bands 'Kampai', 'Inquire' and 'Emerald Edge'
