My passion lies in breathing life back into what some call "real music," a stark contrast to the noise dominating the industry today. Music that makes you feel good, sad, anger, love, that makes you think, and want to dance. Breaking off from my time with Polluted Seeds, I'm set to redefine my artistic identity as a solo act. I will also be promoting my own record label, Breaking Records Ent. The goal is to hit you with something different, something that may trigger the use of the other side of your cerebellum with the same if not more, emotional, and feel-good rush as what's out today. Invaded is a hard rock band from Trondheim, Norway, blending the power and attitude of classic rock with the precision and polish of modern production. With a sound shaped by influences like Whitesnake, Mötley Crüe, Europe, H.E.A.T, and Dynazty, the band brings together timeless riff-driven energy with a fresh, contemporary edge. Citing influences from John Coltrane and Stan Getz to Pat Metheny, Mark Millington may be an entirely new name to the UK jazz community but one with a wealth of knowledge, experience and inspiration to bring to the table. Having started his early career touring internationally with groups like Misty In Roots and Kabbala and performing alongside artists like Hugh Masekela and Light of the World, a diversion into behind-the-scenes songwriting and then ultimately raising his family meant Mark didn't follow the path into Jazz that he maybe first imagined. But after a fateful reconnecting with his cousin, underground-soul genius Bastien Keb, and an introduction to music producer and label boss Scrimshire, in early 2024 Mark travelled to New York to record his debut album. Picture This is the realisation of a dream that's been waiting many years. Driving, melodic jazz, full of energy and a life of experience, introduces an essential and exciting new voice in the thriving UK jazz scene.
