Quadrant 44 is an alternative band born out of Tucson, Arizona. Forming for a school talent show when the members were just 11, the band has spent seven years carving itself out in the music world, picking up new members, and establishing itself as a Tucson favorite. Delivering a blend of alternative rock, pop punk, progressive rock, and melodic vocals, Quadrant 44 has concocted a unique recipe, interesting yet infectious, and guaranteed to hook all who dare to listen. The band’s lineup includes drummer Jax Wallace, delivering energetic and precise drumming, bassist Sergio Santiago, constructing complex yet juicy basslines, guitarist Grisman Stringer, bringing elite songwriting and musical expertise, guitarist Ethan Brisendine adding rich soloing and lead lines, and singer Josh Lopez blessing listeners with his versatile voice, sometimes tough and gritty, other times melodic and beautiful. Quadrant 44 wrote, recorded, and released their first single “Just Don’t Know” while most members were still in highschool. Releasing in February 2024, the song is an achy pop-punk tune, and was greeted warmly by fans. Coming off the release of “Just Don’t Know,” Quadrant 44 set their sights on creating a four song EP. The “Floating In The Space” EP released on January 1, 2025, launching the band into a new arena of sound, away from the pop-punk style of “Just Don’t Know” towards a unique, but catchy alternative rock style.
