Previously a spoken word poet, Bent Joshua focuses on bringing an elevated sense of lyricism to his work. Thus, it was a natural transition for him to take his poetic wordplay and knack for storytelling into becoming a rap artist. His fourth album, "Keep The Faith", released in summer 2025, is a mix of Trap, House, and Reggaeton sounds. The lead single 'Riding Lawnmower' has a piano melody and is a heartfelt tribute to the love for his late grandfather, and the track 'Full Moon' is an honest unpacking of a seething grief, which has deepened with age. His third album, "At My Wits' End", released in summer 2024, covers themes of relationships and depression with more light-hearted songs to open and close the project in 'Coffee' and 'Globe'. His second album and first project recorded in a studio, 'For Posterity's Sake', was released in Summer of 2023 and is a mix of Lofi and Trap that explores the themes of pain, love, and growing older. His first album, 'Sink or Swim', dropped in early 2023 and covers the themes of isolation and heartbreak. His debut EP, "Own Drum", released in early 2022, explores the desire to break free from conformity and follow an individual path, while his follow-up EP "Gold Standard", also released in 2022, is a commentary on the pitfalls of fiat currency and groupthink.
Solo el Malo is the creation and passion of its lone firebrand Nas. Functioning as a one man band with occasional help from friends, Solo el Malo blends Latin flavour with a Rock background and a love for melodies into a rare take on acoustic rock called Flamumba Rock. Sometimes Described as a Latin Dogs D'amour with Ska influences and sometimes as a Gypsy Kings from the dark North but always as unique. The long in the works debut album "Two Hands One Prayer" was released in 2019 to absolutely no fanfare yet still produced fan favourites like "Still In My Mind" and "Like a King". In 2020 a self-imposed Spanish exile and subsequent escape from quarantine back to Sweden inspired the first of a three volume set of EPs, "Vol:1 Sun coast Harmonies". The second EP "Vol:2 Dissonance" (2020) is the product of prolonged confinement to one geographical location that led to a re-evaluation of thoughts and feelings about Malmö and the dissonance the memories about your childhood town cause when faced with what it is now. "Vol:3 Monumental" the third and final EP in the set is a continuation and natural evolution on the intricate melodies and exotic soundscapes that fans have come to love and expect. By keeping the flamenco inspired melodies and harmonies and supercharging them with a harder rock edge, the new Solo El Malo album once again manages to blaze new trails.
