Growing up in a music household with Bboys break dancer's graffiti artis and Dj's hip hop was my first love. So if you love hip hop and you live hip hop here it is. I have a story to tell P.E.A.C.E
I believe that music touches people in ways that, sometimes, others don't understand. I believe we are shaped by the artists we listen to. We all form connections to them. For me, it was listening to Taylor Swift and realizing that she understood me in a way that no one else in my life did, and, somehow, I felt like I understood her, too, and I began to write my own songs. While Taylor is a main inspiration for me, others soon followed suit. I was raised on a healthy diet of The Cranberries, Young the Giant, Keane, The Beatles and an eclectic mix of 80's music, jazz, 90's alternative, and a ton of Coldplay. Not only that, but I began diving deep into musical theater. Hairspray was the first professional production I ever saw and I was hooked from there. But none of these genres seemed to fit with the songs I wrote. I didn't know who I was or what I wanted to say. As I entered college and began to branch out and learn my own tastes, I discovered Khalid, George Ezra, Lorde, Vance Joy, and Birdy. Still, I wrote songs. I listened to so many different genres. I wrote even more songs. Still, I hadn't yet found my voice. Then, I found Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, and Ruth B. and I felt like I had found my niche. I know who I am. I know my sound. I know what I want to say. I've found my voice. Lyrics mean everything to me, so if they do to you, too, then hopefully I can help you feel as heard I first did when listening to Taylor. Thanks for listening.
