Savion first met as hangarounds at an architecture studio in Stockholm, Sweden. Even though they had absolutely nothing in common there’s no stronger bond than a common enemy, and the enemy was life’s recurring disappointments. To their surprise a twin-soul-potential emerged and they began to nurture a drive for doing their own thing. The year of 2020 was a stressful and hurtful one for both members of Savion. Break-ups were taking a toll. Their mutual psychologist, tired of the sessions, suggested they form a music duo and deal with the topics of love and life within that context. Their songwriting instantly clicked and the songs kept coming with a magical flow. Teaming up with producer Sven Johansson the songs and sound fell into place around a vision of french chanson/americana. Savion was born. …. Phyllis on Charlotta’s voice: ”She has this amazing narrative when she opens her mouth to sing. I would buy anything from her… I guess it comes from her upbringing in the Stockholm archipelago, with its constant darkness, and stories about fishermen never coming back”. Charlotta on Phyllis’ noble background: ”He claims he comes from this noble family, but I highly doubt it. I’ve seen his “mansion”, it’s a mess. But his beautiful language of melodies are royal enough for me.”
