“It’s all about honesty and clarity” writes new Merseyside singer Adam James Johnson, who channels alt-pop and dynamic vocals, through crisp, aggressive production. Johnson started out busking in his mid-teens, before moving to clubs and venues across the UK. Playing for different bands, he quickly developed his own repertoire – a mix of clean, catchy pop colliding with loud and proud elements. Drawing influence from modern pop artists Orla Gartland, Arlo Parks and Lola Young, whilst also paying homage to greats, Johnson has been none-stop in studios such as the renowned Motor Museum, Liverpool, for the last year. His debut single Quarter Through Life saw high praise and was shortly followed by new release Fallen Out Of Love which sees Johnson take a path more influenced by sampled and electronic music and was quickly held in high regard by the likes of BBC Introducing.
