Following the release of the singles “Rain Chain” and “The Iron Lock”, my debut album “Please, everybody” expresses two ideas that have interested me during the recording and planning of the album, starting from 2020. Although I finished recording the album at the start of 2023, I continued working on the album, trying to make it suitable for a concert at Satu Mare’s “Dinu Lipatti” State Philharmonic. My struggle in finding a target audience or at least a few people to care about my music is the first idea that inspired me to name the album “Please, everybody”. A kind of salutation, or a phrase that is used to attract the attention of people or a crowd. Nowadays, with the help of streaming services, the music market is oversaturated and I’m sure that there are tons of talented musicians that just can’t break the surface. Unfortunately, “bad” music is produced continuously, affecting the “quality” music and making it sink even deeper. My second idea was removing the comma in the title, through which I wanted to suggest that pleasing everyone is an impossible task, but one that an artist is faced with every time he/she creates a piece of art. Before, during and after the creative process, the artist must have in mind the direction of the piece, the target audience, potential backlash and criticism. After contemplating a lot, I concluded: if people end up enjoying my songs, I would be very glad, but if not, at least I would have myself, enjoying my creations.
Keith Dwayne HIckman Jr, professionally known as Hickman L.A., is a Los Angeles born MC, influenced by the depths of 2Pac's lyrics and the consciousness/imagery of Lupe Fiasco. While meeting Lupe (Hickman's favorite rapper) in 9th grade, Lupe told him that he was going to be creating Hip Hop music after Lupe retires. That was all the drive Hickman L.A. needed to take his craft seriously. He has stayed true to his insightful lyrics about his community, society, and how he can use his words to heal the wounds of his people. At the same time, he uses the competitiveness, hunger, and fearlessness that he learned from 2Pac to craft witty metaphors and bars (combined with a love for flow) that proves he can hold his own with the best of wordsmiths. At Tuskegee University, he built a following and released his first solo mixtape, Just A Start: Reconstruction, which received high praise from both peers and hip hop heads alike. He also teamed up with Houston MC Ghost Plato to form the Underground Rap Group Classic Kings, touring across colleges opening up for acts such as Hurricane Chris, Pastor Troy, Kid Ink, Skooly, Wale, and Three 6 Mafia.
Leonidas Pafiliaris started playing music in the early '80s as a bassist and singer. In 1986 he founded the pop-rock band "Rififi" and they released their first album one year later. During his career, he has released 8 personal albums, 3 EPs & 18 singles as a composer, guitarist, and singer. As he wanted to explore further music, after studying for six years he got the Certificate in Byzantine Music.
