The band of all time. Hailing from the Denton Texas music scene, Sun Valley Scarlet draws inspirations from bands like Nothing But Thieves, Portugal. The Man, and King Crimson to create a unique blend of alternative and garage rock. Originally a solo-project, Sun Valley Scarlet was created in the summer of 2020 by frontman Clayton Hinson. The goal was simple; Combine the simple yet complex songwriting style of The Strokes with the theatrical concepts of Muse. What resulted was the blend of two critically acclaimed genres, Dracula Theory. Throughout 2021, Clayton continued developing the concept, releasing Jet as an honorary conclusion to the Dracula Theory era. Towards the end of 2021, Clayton decided to turn the solo-project into a band, recruiting Maude to play rhythm guitar. The band recruited drummer and warr guitarist Ethan Thomas Gilgamesh Vera to start playing live shows in the summer of 2022. Ryan joined SVS in the later half of 2023, bringing new ideas into the mix instantly. Sun Valley Scarlet continues to push the boundary of alt-rock with their new release, Elaborate Descriptions of Simple Things.
